For more than 60 years, the CBM produced the Kenneth R. Wilson Awards, a program that searched for Canada’s best in business press. That search continues with our recently re-named and updated awards program, the Canadian Business Media Awards in Memory of Kenneth R. Wilson.

To celebrate the CBM Award’s inaugural year, we are excited to announce the addition of seven categories. These categories were created to reflect the ever-changing landscape of our industry, crafted with the help of stakeholders, and based on your feedback. The new categories include: Best Technical Content, Best Use of Data, Best Use of Video / Webcast, Best Words & Pictures, Best In-House Cover, Best E-newsletter, and Best Media Brand. (Click here for the full list of categories.)

Interested in entering the CBM Awards? The Call for Entries opens on January 11, for work published in 2015. Enter by February 8 to save on entry fees, and remember that the final deadline to enter is February 12. Begin the submission process online at submissions.krwawards.com.

The CBM Awards are also accepting nominations for the Harvey Southam Leadership Award, the highest individual honour bestowed by Canadian Business Media. The award is open to publishers, editors, designers, creators, circulation experts, marketing, sales and promotion professionals, production managers – in short, to everyone in the industry. It cannot be given posthumously. Click here for more information on nominations and deadlines.

Nominees will be announced on May 5, 2016, and the CBM Awards gala will take place on June 7, 2016. To stay in the loop, follow us on Twitter (@CdnBizMedia) and sign up for our newsletter.
